MROPS PSDU BuoyTrack (Revision 1.0) — Marine Remote Object Positioning System, PSDU (Power Supply & Distribution Unit) — industrial power supply and switching unit of the remote mobile object positioning system complex relative to the «head» DGPS antenna.

Marine Remote Object Positioning System, PSDU (Power Supply & Distribution Unit) is an industrial power supply and switching unit of the remote mobile object positioning system complex relative to the «head» DGPS antenna, used to provide navigation of head, end buoys and towed air source lines during offshore exploration and engineering surveys.

PSDU was designed to provide power, data transmission and exchange of control commands from remote mobile objects — rGPS «pods» or DGPS modules compatible with this system.

Description

The PSDU module is equipped with an industrial board — power supply, diagnostics, conversion/transmission of navigation data packets to BuoyTrack RTKNav, and exchange of control commands with remote rGPS/DGPS «pods»/blocks.

Calculating rGPS/DGPS positions with high accuracy, both in static and dynamic modes, is achieved by processing raw navigation data in the BuoyTrack RTKNav software package, supporting up to 20 objects. PSDU supports various data transmission formats and protocols (RS422/485) with subsequent conversion and integration with the controlling navigation system at the TCP/IP network protocol level.

Functional Capabilities

  • 8 remote rGPS or DGPS modules with selectable power supply voltage 12/24/36V, power checking and protection against short circuits or leaks with emergency shutdown
  • 1 RS485 interface supporting various data transmission speeds, parity, bitness, etc.
  • Support for differential correction data transmission and control commands
  • Functional capabilities for remote configuration and management of rGPS or DGPS modules
